By downloading, installing, or using the SADE app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. This agreement is effective as of the date of first use.

SADE is a personal music inventory application that allows you to catalog music you have listened to, rate tracks and albums, write personal reviews, and share your curated lists with friends. Core features include:

  • Music inventory cataloging — track everything you listen to
  • Star ratings and detailed personal reviews for songs and albums
  • Custom list creation and organization by genre, artist, or mood
  • Shareable music inventories with friends
  • Listening history timeline and personal statistics
  • Offline access to your saved inventory and reviews

3. Content & Copyright Disclaimer

Important Disclaimer:
  • SADE is a music inventory tool only — it does not host, stream, or provide access to copyrighted music files.
  • Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any shared reviews or lists do not infringe upon third-party intellectual property rights.
  • SADE does not condone or facilitate music piracy. The App is designed for tracking and rating music you have legally accessed.
  • All music metadata (artist names, album titles, track names) belongs to their respective rights holders.

4. User Accounts and Data

  • You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality and all activities under your account.
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You retain full ownership of all music inventory entries, ratings, personal reviews, and custom lists you create.
  • Data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to secure, encrypted cloud storage.
Data Backup: Enable cloud sync to preserve your music inventory, ratings, and reviews. Without sync, uninstalling may result in permanent loss of your cataloged music data.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App's source code
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access
  • Upload, post, or transmit content that is abusive, offensive, defamatory, or violates others' rights
  • Use the App to harass, threaten, or harm anyone
  • Interfere with the App's operation or security features
  • Use automated bots or scrapers to extract data from the App

6. Responsibility & Safety

  • You acknowledge that all ratings and reviews you submit reflect your personal opinions and you assume full responsibility for them.
  • Shared lists may be visible to recipients; share responsibly and only with trusted individuals.
  • The App is intended for personal music cataloging; any commercial use requires explicit permission.

7. User-Generated Content

  • You retain full intellectual property ownership of music reviews, ratings, custom lists, and inventory entries you create.
  • You grant SADE a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display your content solely to provide the service (including sharing features you initiate).
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or is deemed harmful to others.

8. Subscriptions & Payments (if applicable)

  • Some premium features (e.g., advanced statistics, expanded sharing, ad-free experience) may require a paid subscription.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • All payments are processed through Google Play Store; refunds follow Google Play Store policies.
  • Price changes will be communicated in advance.

9. Intellectual Property

  • The App (code, design, branding, and proprietary features) is owned by kivulideveloper.
  • Your personal reviews, ratings, and inventory lists remain your exclusive property.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content without explicit written permission.
  • All third-party music metadata and artist names are trademarks of their respective owners.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (analytics, cloud storage, authentication). Use of such services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that music metadata lookups will always return accurate results.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, kivulideveloper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of inventory entries, or loss of reviews, arising from use of the App.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless kivulideveloper from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App, violation of these terms, or infringement of third-party rights through your user-generated content.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notice or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15. Termination

You may delete your account and discontinue use at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation before resorting to formal legal processes.

  • Crash Logs & Performance Data: IP address (temporarily), crash traces, performance metrics. Purpose: App stability and bug fixing.

1.3 Data from Third Parties

  • Google Sign-In: If you authenticate via Google, we receive basic profile data (name, email, profile picture) with your explicit permission. Purpose: Simplified authentication.
  • Music Metadata APIs: When you search for music to add to your inventory, we may query public music databases. No personal data is sent in these queries. Purpose: Music identification and cataloging.

2. How We Use Your Information (Detailed)

  • App Functionality: To provide core features — cataloging music, storing ratings and reviews, managing inventory lists, and enabling sharing with friends.
  • Personalization: To suggest music you might want to add based on your inventory patterns and genre preferences.
